This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Friday Fragments: Another Rambling Post

Welcome back to Friday Fragments!

**********

THANK YOUs:

I got this beautiful angel in the mail the other day.

I don't know who it's from.... but THANK YOU to who ever sent it!
(They sent it via Angels For Hope)

Also, Thank you to YaYa for this postcard!

And to my neighbor for this!

(aren't they adorable? read more about them here.)

Where did summer go?

It's been so cold the last couple days. I've had to wear sweaters and fuzzy socks. I refuse to turn the heat on in July. On the upside, the forecast is looking good.

**********

Not Looking Forward To Next Week.

My daughter's 4th angel day and birthday, followed by our 6th wedding anniversary. Usually, we have a BBQ & Balloon Release to 'celebrate' both occasions but no one showed up last year, and this year it won't even be just me and Bear, so I didn't plan one because I don't think I could handle the disappointment.

**********

Pain in the Neck, er, Head.

Yesterday, I suffered the first migraine in 4 years. That was no fun.

Where's My Curves?

I'm thinking of quitting the gym. Not because I don't want to go, but because it's closed whenever I have the opportunity and motivation at the same time. This summer they have decided to close between 1 and 3 pm M-F and they close for the day by 1 pm on the weekend. Early afternoons would be the best time for me to go right now while I'm not working since I have trouble falling asleep at night and as a result do not wake up too early in the morning. I can't really afford to keep paying for it if I'm not going very often.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Start it off with a funny...

Overwhelmed by Kindness

When I saw this giveaway, I jumped in and entered my name.

Well, last night, Jill announced the winner. It wasn't me.

But I was not prepared for what followed in the rest of that post.

Read it here.

WOW!

I can hardly believe it.

I am truly overwhelmed by Jill's kindness and the folks who told her she should give me the box. I can not express just how much it means to me to have so many people caring about me, especially strangers who have never met me.

I would like to thank you, Jill, for sharing your wonderful talent. I look forward to seeing the box in person and putting it to good use.

I would also like to thank the folks who recommended me. I looked through the comments and the ones I saw, you do not have a bloggy link, so I was unable to personally thank you. So, if you're reading this, THANK YOU.

I'm sure looking forward to getting my box and putting it to good use.

Keep your eyes open for updates on this.

(Is it not the cutest thing ever?!)

Thank You Blog Buddies

I had a very difficult day. When you are a bereaved parent or spouse, and in my case both, the littlest things set you off. I was already in a very, very, VERY lousy mood when I received the email from aforementioned person.

In my post, I had linked to their post, and this upset them. To my understanding, they were upset not because I linked to them, but because they felt the comments in response to my blog post were negative. I did not get that impression, but it upset me that they were upset. I have since removed the post.

Lately, it seems that I have been doing a good job at upsetting people. I don't even realize I am doing so, and it upsets me so much to think that I'm upsetting other people.

I have spent the bulk of the day in tears, not just because of this post, but because of other frustrations I am having with other aspects of my life.

And so, my dear blog buddies, I would like to thank you for standing by me through this difficult time. It means the world to me that you are willing to stand up for me and be there for me even amid my mood swings.

I have attempted to keep this blog as positive as possible, but every now and then the sad and depressed me comes poking through and, sadly, that is just a part of who I am.

Thank you for understanding, and we shall return to regular blogging program for your viewing pleasure.
