This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

The Day I Married My Best Friend...

Six years ago today was one of the happiest days of my life..... I married my best friend.

There is not a whole lot I can say about this without bringing forth the painful tears. Truth be told, all the pain we have endured over the last six years has only proven our love. I think some people questioned it because it took us so long to get together in the first place.

I wish I had some eloquent words to post, but I don't. I wish I could tell the story of our wedding day, but I can't. I'm unable to see past the pain right now. I just know that I am just thankful for having this wonderful person in my life.... to be my best friend.... my husband.... the father of my child...my soul mate.

Oh, how I miss him...

Welcome back to Friday Fragments!

**********

THANK YOUs:

I got this beautiful angel in the mail the other day.

I don't know who it's from.... but THANK YOU to who ever sent it!
(They sent it via Angels For Hope)

Also, Thank you to YaYa for this postcard!

And to my neighbor for this!

(aren't they adorable? read more about them here.)

Where did summer go?

It's been so cold the last couple days. I've had to wear sweaters and fuzzy socks. I refuse to turn the heat on in July. On the upside, the forecast is looking good.

Not Looking Forward To Next Week.

My daughter's 4th angel day and birthday, followed by our 6th wedding anniversary. Usually, we have a BBQ & Balloon Release to 'celebrate' both occasions but no one showed up last year, and this year it won't even be just me and Bear, so I didn't plan one because I don't think I could handle the disappointment.

Pain in the Neck, er, Head.

Yesterday, I suffered the first migraine in 4 years. That was no fun.

Where's My Curves?

I'm thinking of quitting the gym. Not because I don't want to go, but because it's closed whenever I have the opportunity and motivation at the same time. This summer they have decided to close between 1 and 3 pm M-F and they close for the day by 1 pm on the weekend. Early afternoons would be the best time for me to go right now while I'm not working since I have trouble falling asleep at night and as a result do not wake up too early in the morning. I can't really afford to keep paying for it if I'm not going very often.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Start it off with a funny...

After All

We were married 5 years ago today. It's hard to believe it has only been 5 years after all we have been through in our marriage so far. Our Babybear was born silently the day before our 2nd anniversary. Needless to say, we do not really celebrate our anniversary anymore. But the date is still an important one to mention.

There's a phrase that comes to my mind, I'm not sure where it comes from, I believe it is song lyrics, but it goes like this: "After all that we've been through, it all comes back down to me and you, after all"

Happy Anniversary, Bear.
