This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

It's My Birthday, And I'll Cry If I Want To.

By the time this posts, it will be my birthday.

The calendar says I'm 34 this year, but I don't believe it at all. I'm pretty sure I'm much, much, much older.

I feel like I have lots to say right now but I can't seem to come up with any coherent thoughts.

All I want to do is cry.

Not because I'm getting older.

Oh, no.

Getting older is no big deal...

if you have someone to get old with...

if you're raising a family...

if you're happy...

Hope you find a way to have a happy birthday. I know it's hard, how could you be happy when you're getting older without anyone to get old with or a family to raise...as you know, I totally understand!

Hope you find some peace today.

Ter,

Your feelings are understandable. I'm sure your birthday brings up a lot of feelings... and some of those feelings are of losses rather than celebration.

I would still like to wish you a happy birthday, though!

Celebrating the day of your birth! (Since "HAPPY Birthday" is not what it sounds like.) I think you are such a strong and amazing woman, whether you think you are or not. I'm sure that your loved ones wish they could be there with you. Drown your sorrows with some cake!

I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I just read your story and I am so sorry for your losses. It just breaks my heart.

I also wanted to say happy birthday and it is okay to cry. xo

Happy belated birthday. I'm so sorry for what you've had to go thru. Praying you find your joy and a new love (whatever that maybe). I'm rather isolated with no car and 7 kids, so I know life can be lonely. I'm going to start afternoon tea with my neighbours...just a way to forget about myself for a while and hopefully reconnect with the way us Mums used to have it.
