This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Wish Me Luck

So, tomorrow (Monday) is my interview at the photography school. I'm very nervous. So nervous in fact that I'm driving everyone crazy with excuses why I shouldn't go. Truth is, I'm scared. It has been 10 years since I was a student, and I was never a very good student. I am nervous because I no longer have my husband's income to sustain me for long periods of time. If I get in and then don't get employment afterwards, I'm more or less screwed. And most of all, I'm worried about being an emotional mess. Is it too soon to be doing something new? But again, it's not like I have anything else to do. I quit my job to be with my husband after they told us there was nothing left they could do for him because the cancer had advanced so much.

Anyway, I know I should give this a try. I know because 10,000 people have told me over the weekend that I need to go. Okay, so I exaggerate, it was more like 10 people. But still. I'm nervous. I'm scared. I hope I don't back out but I might.

Some of you are new to my blog and haven't seen many of my photos, as I have not posted many lately. You can see some by clicking "photography" in my list of topics, but THIS POST has the most photos.

Wish me luck.

You know, if it were me, I'd be really scared too. New situation, interview (which I hate)...all that stuff. But I know you love to take pictures, and whether you think you're good at it or not, you definitely have the POTENTIAL to be GREAT at it. A school like this could bring all of that out and make you SHINE. Please think about how happy you could be making money doing something you love.

Love you Ter. Try not to worry about parking tickets and that kind of stuff. Those are the things that hold us back in life. (((BIG HUGS)))

You can do it! I know that you can! Your pictures are incredible and it is clear that you have a gift! Follow your dreams even if it scares you- that's the only way to live your life.
Good luck! I'll be rootin' for you!

I pretty much said it all when I chatted with you earlier. I hope you get some rest and when you awaken you will know which direction to go with all this.

Keep us posted!

I wish you all the luck in the world, though I don't really think you'll need it. You're going to do just great!!! Keep your chin up and think positive! I love your photos...you have quite the eye for photography.

Good luck! This will be a good thing for you to do. I think you know that though. :)

Sending you strength. Interviews are scary at the best of times, and this certainly isn't the best of times for you, but you have proven to yourself time and time again that you have the strength to get though more than you thought possible - this is another of those moments.

Well, I am late in wishing you luck but I hope it went well and you didn't back out! I just checked out your slide show -- WOW! You have some lovely photos and I love how you put them together in the slideshow and the music! Quite a portfolio you have there! And I must admit, I'm a bit envious of what beauty surrounds you -- I can't believe those were all taken around close to where you live. You have a good eye, and I think you should just go for it. I'm sending you good wishes and I hope everything works out OK. Good for you for even attempting it -- you are still so close to your loss that I admire you for being able to be this together to try on a whole new career and school.

I hope it went well:)

I always get this way when I am trying something new. I have a problem with change.

Catching up on my reading. How'd it go? I hope you went. It's okay to be scared of new things. If you weren't scared then I think I'd be a little scared of you :)

I think anything new is difficult to do. We tend to want to stay in our comfort zones. By extending beyond that, good things will come to you. Just go for and worry about it later.
