This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

First Work Out

We went to Curves today for our first work out. The first little while was learning how each of the machines work and then we did two circles around the room. Finally, we did some stretches.

At Curves, the machines are in a circle around the room. You pick a machine and start there. In between each machine is a resting square, where you can walk or jog on spot, or stretch or use the time to check your heart rate. Then you move on to the next machine. There is a change in music or an announcement to switch. I don't hear it but I can see everyone moving! I really liked the short lengths of time on each machine. There was no time to get tired of a machine before it was time to move on. I think I will enjoy that aspect of it the most.

Because of the study, we are required to go 3 times a week, so we're heading back there tomorrow. Eek!

Sorry, no before photos. I did take some, but I am not sharing until there's a difference to be seen!

You make exercise actually sound sort of fun. I have definitely got to start working out.

Way to go! I've heard good things about Curves, but never been. DH & I have a membership at another gym. Hmm...funny - we haven't stepped foot in it for probably 2 months! Yikes! Maybe tonight.... ;)

Woo hoo Ter! Way to go!! I would like the part about not staying on one machine too long. It makes things exciting, plus you are able to work different parts of your body.

Terri,

That is great that you are enjoying. My sister goes to curves and really enjoys it as well. Keep up the good work.
