About Me

I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

How To Fold A Fitted Sheet

A few years ago, I was becoming frustrated with folding fitted sheets. I was able to find a resource online that explained it. While I could understand what it was saying, I could not really "get it". My sheets would be folded nicely, but not in a neat package like it suggested in the photos.

Recently, I saw a tv segment that showed someone folding sheets and I thought, "Oooh! That's what I'm doing wrong!" So, I thought I'd look for a video to teach me how to fold fitted sheets and study it a bit closer.

There were many videos, so here's one:

Hey! I've been doing it right!!! Woot woot!! :) I don't do that last fold... but I do my fitted sheet and flat sheet and 1 pillow case... then I put all of that into the OTHER pillow case and that's how I store my sheets. That way I can just grab the pillow case and the whole set is right there together :)

Thanks for the video!!

I like my method of just shoving my clean sheets in a big mound in a laundry basket until I need them. Just kidding. It's funny that the video was done by a man. I was expecting it to be a woman. I wish my husband would learn to do that then I wouldn't have to.

I'm really bad at folding fitted sheets. All the instructions in the world couldn't help me. :)

Have you seen the way Martha fold t-shirts? It's magical and my husband now folds all his shirts this way. I just stuff them in my drawer.

Hmmm that's pretty much how I fold mine but they still don't come out like that - perhaps I need to spend a little more time making sure the corners are squared...
