When I was in grade 11, our school was struck by not one, but two tragic events. Just nine days apart, two of our classmates were killed in separate car accidents. The first one happened on April 10th, 1993, which was over the Easter Long Weekend that year. The second one happened on April 19th, 1993.
The deaths of these two young girls, both aged 16, had a profound effect on many of the students in our school. Most of the kids had never really experience death before, and certainly not of someone close to our age. It has been 15 years and I still have not forgotten. I feel that I will never forget, for which I am glad, because these girls deserve to be remembered.
Recently, I have learned that the mother of one of the girls has written a book about her journey towards healing. I am in the process of trying to find out where I can get a copy to read. Maybe someday, my own journey will lead towards healing.
B & S, you'll never be forgotten.

What a special idea, i hope you find that book!
I had a good friend pass away in high school and I will never forget him. It's amazing how that sort of thing affects you for the rest of your life.
Those sorts of tragic events, particularly in high school are so profound. I had a friend die in our tenth grade year and I still think of him.
I have had two miscarriages and one of them was so *whatever the word is here* that I've often thought that there is a novel or book in there somewhere. I really felt that way after reading Good Grief by Lolly Winston. The character's husband dies and the book is about that first year after his death. There were funny moments, emotional moments, raw moments and a wonderful and terrific story.
Maybe God is nudging you to write your story. You never know how your story will impact others.
