This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

30 day Organizational Challenge Update

(click above banner to see more participants!)

With just a week left of the challenge, I thought I would update my progress. I have gone through the bulk of the things in my basement and sorted between keep, giveaway, a few "sell" items, should I get brave enough for ebay and of course alot of toss!

Today I went and got a few more containers, and most of them are filled already. I can't remember if I mentioned in my last update or not, but I took the doors off the shelves that are in the laundry room. They are crappy shelves but it does look alot better without the doors. I haven't gotten a chance to call someone to come haul away the old freezer and other junk left behind but I might not get a chance to get someone before spring due to the fact that winter is more or less here now. I haven't gotten around to calling yet, but I will. I also have to call to find the charity company to come pick up the donations. I was going to look for a few shelving units but I don't think I'll have the time or resources right now.

Due to getting the containers today, I was able to almost completely empty the "pantry" that we had in the laundry room. I am thinking that I will move it to the family room and use it for some storage in there. Undecided yet, but we'll see how things look and whether or not I can get the hauling company to come take away the freezer, etc.

It still looks a bit "messy" down there but I can see the progress too. Hopefully, I'll get some work on it this week, so I can have it done by the end of the challenge period! (will it ever really be done?)

Wish me luck!
