This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Organized... me???

This is something that I have struggled with my whole life. I want to be organized. I really do! It's just that I usually have not enough storage or more to the point, too much to store! I've gotten pretty good at weeding out things that I don't want to keep anymore, but then I don't want to just throw them out and I can't seem to find anyone interested to take them away! I do donate some items to charity every now and then as well (although I haven't lately, I do need to do that again soon).

If I ever get into a real slump, I just have to watch a single episode of Clean Sweep!

Today, I bought one of those tower containers to organize items for the memory boxes that I create. Originally, the items were in various spots of the room and mingled with my crafting things. Now it has it's own home and looks pretty good! Here's a photo! (click photo to enlarge)

Other organizing projects I have going on :

My pantry - It's pretty much done except I can't find containers that I like / am willing to pay the price for for things like pasta and other bulk items.

My office - ongoing project because I have limited space, not enough storage and an addictive paper-saving problem!

My basement -- it's mostly yardsale stuff and if I get brave it will be for Ebay! I would like it to be a family room someday in the hopefully not-too-distant future.

It may take me the rest of my life, but I will get organized... I will!!

Good luck with the organizing. I really need to get into my pantry also and organize it. I have found a few containers that are fairly cheap at walmart. But I know they can get pricey.
