This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

The View From My Window (um, do you all not see the flooding?)

I was going to do a whole 'nother post today but I'm tired as I didn't sleep at all last night. I finally nodded off after 4 AM and dozed for a couple hours.

So instead, I thought I'd share the view from my bedroom window just a few minutes ago. That is a dried up creek you see. Oh yes!

(editing to ask if no one sees the flooding? The so-called dried creek is more than half way to my yard. I'm basing this on the comments that have been left so far)

You can see what it usually looks like in this post.

I guess it's better than this.

Our snow is slowly melting. Guess what?! It is supposed to be 57 degrees on Saturday. Can you believe it? I am so excited for it. ☺

I love your view. The sky is so blue, it looks chilly but spring is in the air.

Even though its dried up it still is pretty. Living in Guam now, I dont see sights like that anymore.

he he.. well, that's the least of your worries. Did you see the Red off Pembina! It's only got about 5 more feet to come up until it breaches the road, and there is usually a good 20 feet down to the river there!

Yah, there will be problems with water this spring. But soon it will be a distant memory.

on the plus side, if the creek does come all the way up, you won't need to pay anyone to pick up the doggie doo, it will be all melted into the creek! :-) You also won't have to water your lawn until August. heh.

PS: I've always thought your yard was beautiful.

It is a lovely view for now. :) Hope the water doesn't come closer to your yard & house.

Haha! I can't believe that slipped by some people- I saw it right away and thought "DRIED UP creek bed?" I bet the local birds are happy!

Hoping that the dried up creek doesn't rise too much more for you. What a great view from your bedroom window, especially when the trees green up!! I am so not used to naked trees out here in California. Our seasons seem to run together at the same time. Hoping your spring comes soon for you. Love you and have a wonderful weekend.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Oh my goodness. That could get a little unnerving. But in the summer, you have a beautiful view.

We have a ton of flooding here every fall.. it's terrible.. blocks the whole west side of town off..

I feel your pain!

Hope the day is well!

If I had seen that without knowing it was flooded, I would think that you had a lake there...so sorry :(
