This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Friday Fragments & Funny: Grey Scale

It's Friday!

Time for Friday Fragments....

....and a Friday Funny!

*************

I accidentally hit publish instead of draft. Grr! So, this is posting on Thursday night instead of Friday morning.

*****************

If YOU would like to be featured as a "follower of the month" on my blog let me know! I'm still wondering if that would be a good thing to have on my blog, starting in April. Email me if you want to be featured.

*****************

What do you think of my new background? I love it!

I got it from Delightful Dots.

I also love the header banner that was available, but when I installed it, it covered up my subtitle, and none of the font color choices were good enough to make it visible through the flowers. So, with much disappointment, I removed it.

Other than that, I love!

*****************

I sent in my application for photography school. Surprisingly, they got the application the very next day! (Wish Mr. Mailman worked that fast when I'm waiting for something - some of which I'm STILL waiting for, but that's a whole 'nother blog post.)

I have an interview on Monday. I'm nervous! (That's an understatement if I ever heard one!)

I have to take a CD with 10-15 of my own photos (how does one choose only 10 from thousands?!) with me for them to view. It has been 10 years since I graduated college and I was never very good at the school thing, so needless to say, I'm scared!

Wish Me Luck!

*****************

Random Thought:

Why does the pup have to lick my cracker to realize she's hungry then finally goes to eat the whole bowl of food that's been sitting there for 24 hours?

Random Thought brought on by Previous Random Thought:

Does "lick my cracker" sound dirty?

*****************

The towels I mentioned in last week's Friday Fragment are still sitting in the same spot. And as I typed that I realized that the sheets from the guest room must still be in the dryer. Good thing I'm not a fanatic about wrinkles.

Got this award from Just Jen. Thanks!

And now for the Friday Funny...

Something I need to know if I'm going to photography school:

Love your new background! You sure have a lot of exciting things coming up! I didn't realize you were interested in photography! Have you ever taken any classes, or will this be a first? I'd love to learn more about it myself.

I'll be praying that your interview goes well...have confidence...you'll do GREAT!

Enjoy your weekend!

Visiting via SITS. Welcome. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your precious daughter and husband. I, too, lost a baby girl (at 24 weeks) gestation and I think I can understand your pain. Know that you are in my thoughts.

Lick my cracker sounds like the kind of pick up line you'd get in an old honky tonk bar. Shame shame!

Stopping by from SiTS to say hello, and thank you for sharing your story.

I'm stopping by from SITS. You mentioned you were new so I wanted to say welcome. I just joined SITS a few days ago so I'm relatively new as well.

I love your new background.

And "lick my cracker" does sound a tad dirty in my mind but then again, I can make most things sound dirty if I really try. I should try and stop doing that though. Some people don't share my strange humor :)

Hahaha! Lick my cracker! Too funny! Maybe she's trying to tell you she'd like some salt on her food from now on?

So awesome about photography school! Yay you!
