This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Did You Miss Me?

My poor readers, did you miss me?

I must have been tired. I fell asleep and slept right through spring and summer.

What? Are you sure? It's actually Spring? I didn't miss summer?

Hard to believe....

Emma wouldn't pose for me, so the photos aren't great. Not to mention it was 7:30 in the morning and I had just woke up. (Not exactly by choice... A certain pup body slammed against the bed til I woke up)

Anyway, as you can probably tell, we've gotten even more snow. Emma could barely get outside because the snow was piled up against our door.

I went out and shoveled a bit. It was so hard because there was so much snow and not to mention, my arm is killing me. ( I think I failed to mention that I went to the doctor the other day because I've been having severe pains in my arm and he diagnosed me with a pinched nerve. I'm a little nervous about this diagnoses because my husband was diagnosed with a pinch nerve in his arm and it turned out to be cancer. )

In any case, I am fairly sure we have more snow now than we've had all winter. I'm tired of it.

COME ON SUMMER!

On the upside, Emma and I had a little play outside too. It started when a branch, heavy with snow, brushed against her as she went past it. She attacked the branch and then began to run full speed around the yard -- not quite sure how she does it with all that snow! -- and so I grabbed a couple pine cones off the tree and threw them for her to fetch, it was fun, I even sat in the snow to play with her.

And for you Californians who bragged about spring in my comments yesterday....

LOL Love the bear throwing snowballs! Sorry to hear that the snow kept coming although it sounds like you and Emma had a blast in it this morning. Sending prayers that your arm pain is nothing more than a pinched nerve and heals soon. :)

Hi Ter. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment yesterday, it meant so much, especially after all you've been through.

Angela was diagnosed with a high-grade differentiated scarcoma, which basically means they never could diagnose it. Which meant they never knew how to treat it. I think that was the hardest part for her, and every one else, not knowing what kind of cancer it was. She came to work one day and said, "Feel this lump on my arm." That was all it was, just a lump that came up one day.

Keep me posted about your doctor appointment. I'm sure you'll be fine... but I'll be glad for you to have it all ironed out and not have to worry about it.

Hugs,
Liz

But the important question is "do you have dandelions under all that snow?" ;)

It makes me shudder to see that. Tomorrow our high is to be 12! *sorry* I hope that is your last blast until...October?

Did you tell the dr. your concerns about the pinched nerve. As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well I guess the weather we have been having here in So. California could be called spring compared to what you have going on back there. Hang in there, you WILL see spring. I love the snowball in the face too:)
Thanks. I will pray your arm is just a pinched nerve for sure!!

Love and Hugs, Laurie

lol. My dog is such a wuss. We basically have to push him out the back door when it snows to go potty. But then there are times that we catch him playing in the snow too! Such a crazy dog, he's too spoiled. I love your dog! What a cutie! I love big dogs. Spring hasn't come to Utah yet either so i feel your pain girl!

I bet you and Emma were adorable playing in the snow together. Emma is lucky she is not a little dog, that makes it even harder to get around. Murf hops like a bunny rabbit, Ebony waits til he makes a path then daintily picks her way on through.
Hopefully it will quit snowing for both of us too. Good thoughts and prayers for your arm. Shoveling is a pain before all of that.

Hahaha, love it! A snowball fight! I've never had one, but always dreamed about them as a kid!

Hope your arm starts feeling better.

Hopefully the pinch is just a pinch.

Wow, that is a lot of snow. We have been hit with rain the last couple of days. Though we are told that by the end of the month we ar supposed to get some snow here in Michigan.

Funny! The snow will eventually quit. :) I won't brag about spring as I'm in Wisconsin and I'm beginning the think spring will never arrive.
