This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Card Making Challenge Week #6

This is my card for this week. I was not going to make this a challenge card but it has been a long difficult week (you can read about it on my other blog), so I did not get around to making another card.

I know it is kind of bright for a sympathy card. I was not thinking about that at first. I was just thinking that I wanted to put flowers on it and that the paper matched the flower embellishment that I happen to have. Then I came to realize that my friend's mother was a very cheerful, happy person and that I think she would have liked to have a cheerful, happy card.

Week 7 prompt: Love

I just came over to say hi after you left your comment on my blog.

I have just spent the last half hour reading about your precious babybear. I will be back to read about your husband later.

Please know I am thinking of you and praying for you. I am so glad you left a comment.

I look forward to getting to know you more and I hope we can become blogging friends.

Love Pam

Very nice card, Ter. I don't think it's too bright for a sympathy card at all.

I'll post mine... uh.. umm... when I finish it???

A very beautiful card, Ter! I think the pink is perfect - it's nice to have a cheery card in the mix during a difficult time. I'm sure the receiver will appreciate your thoughtfulness. ((HUGS))

I think the card is perfect. If she was the kind of person you say she was, I think you're right. She'd probably love to see a bright and cheery sympathy card like that. Thanks for visiting my blog, too!

Hi--

I came over to visit after you came over to visit my blog. Your story brought tears to my eyes. I can't even imagine suffering the loss that you have had to endure. I'm glad that you are somehow finding a way to go on and reach out and find support. I'm glad that my nerd photos could provide you with a laugh. Your blog has really touched me and I wish you all happiness and healing the world can bring you.

And your card is lovely. I don't think it is too bright at all. The fact that you made it makes it all the more precious.

Bless you and come visit anytime! I'm usually on the light side so I hope perhaps I can make you smile again. : )
