This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Kong and Kong Wubba

Emma loves squeaky toys. The problem is most of them do not stay squeaky for long. In fact, some have only stayed squeaky for about five minutes before the squeaker pops out.

Emma loves her Kong. It's practically indestructible. She had the puppy one and graduated to the adult one. She also has the Kong Bone. She likes it but not as much as the Kong as it doesn't challenge her as much.

Enter Kong Wubba. I was at Walmart and I saw this in the pet department. I squeezed it and was surprised at the loudness of the squeak. In fact, two women walking by nearly jumped out of their skin. I knew then that Emma would be absolutely thrilled with this toy. What a combination... a Kong and a Squeaky Toy in one!

Here's a photo of Emma with her Kong Wubba. It has been a couple of weeks since we gave it to her, and it still squeaks. She loves to play fetch with it and it's long tail makes for a good game of tug-of-war. But most of all, she loves to squeak it.

The website shows that there are a few other versions of the Kong Wubba, including a Water one. I just know Emma would love one of those, so I will be keeping an eye out for that one!

Now, don't you think you better go get your own dog one of these?

He will love you for it!

Don't have a dog, or I would. Spunky is happy with her catnip mice, her long shoestring, and the feather-on-a-fishing-pole toy. :) Another great pic of Emma, and I'm glad she likes her Kong Wubba!

LOL.. Emma looks like she's thinking, "Don't you DARE take my wubba!"

I'm thinking Honey would love one of those too... and maybe it wouldn't get lost so easy as the kong ball does.

But the squeaky would drive me crazy :)

Wow has Emma ever gotten big! How much does she weigh now? She looks like she could give our Smokey a run for his money and he's a svelt 80 pounds :)

I have enough noise in the house that I think I'll pass on the Kong Wubba though ;)
