Have you ever noticed that when you order Chinese food, the rice is always sticky and soft? Well, I found the following tip in the Company's Coming Asian Cooking cookbook.
Soak your rice in some water for approximately 5 minutes, then drain. Then, proceed to cook rice as normal (with water only). When it comes to a boil, turn down the heat but DO NOT lift the lid.
After the normal cooking time (approximately 20 min) your rice should be nice and soft. Yummy! Try it... it WORKS FOR ME!

About Me
- Ter
- I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Great idea! I'll have to try that next time. Thanks for the tip! :)
Thats how I make my rice it is so yummy.
What kind of rice are you using? Ever since we got our rice cooker Nick has been buying and trying all different kinds. I think Jasmine rice is naturally sticky...but anyway, glad yours came out good!
