This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Buy A Friend A Book

What a great idea! I saw this linked in someone else's blog and thought I'd post it here.

Buy A Friend A Book - first week of October. You don't have to go through the site to do something like this, I just thought it was a neat idea and that I'd pass it along. You know, in case someone wants to buy me a book... ;)

Although, if I were to start something like this, I think it would be "Give a Friend a Book" because exchanging books that you already have is alot cheaper than buying a new one every time! I rarely buy books because the librarian in me prefers to check them out from the library but sometimes doing that means waiting forever to read a good book.

When I was a child, I used to have alot of books. I would buy them with my allowance. I got 5 dollars for allowances and back then I could buy a single book for a little less than 5 dollars. I used to lend them out to my friends like a little library but sometimes I didn't get them back. :(. (Hint, Hint to those who have books that belong to me... now would be a good time to give them back! ;) )

What a cool idea! I'll have to see if I can afford to buy someone a book ;)

I guess it's too late for that particular week, but I plan to donate some pregnancy and infant loss books in Michelle's memory at Christmas. Probably to our TCF library, maybe to some other places as well. I should be able to get them cheap through resellers on Amazon.com.
