Welcome to Friday Fragments!

Man, I was wondering why no one commented on this today... it turns out I forgot to change the date to show up in today's posts... oops.

I finally, finally, FINALLY finished the project I talked about HERE. I may have to wait a little longer to share it with you because some of my occasional readers (who NEVER COMMENT, HELLO!?!) may be one of the recipients of said project. But I can tell you this: the people who ordered them loved how they turned out. At least that,s what they tell me. For all I know they went home and threw it all in the garbage. lol ;)

I'm really excited and nervous! In just one week, I'm hopping on a plane and flying OUTTA HERE! Granted, it's only for less than 3 days and I've spent all this money I don't have to pay for the plane ticket... but I'm going!
Where, you ask? I'm heading to St. Louis, MO for the SHARE Walk to Remember. I've decided to go because I have the time, and they changed the date for this year, so I have the opportunity. Plus, above all, I really need some in-real-life hugs from my SHARE SISTAS! I don't know if I have any bloggy friends who live in that area... but if I do, send me an email!

The only not-so-great thing is that I'm still not sure exactly who's taking care of Emma while I'm gone. My neighbor has offered to let her out to potty and feed her but she'll be stuck here alone almost all weekend otherwise. But, that's better than nothing, I guess! She spent alot of time alone like that when her daddy was in the hospital last year, but I came home most nights. I guess the thing that worries me about leaving her alone is that she's been going nuts at the cats that have taken up residence in our neighborhood.

I'm feeling a bit like I'm running full speed but in slow motion! In truth, I'm sitting on my wide behind. Not much is getting accomplished and I'm feeling bad about that.

How long does a baby have to live in order to be considered alive? I read THIS POST about a very special little boy who was considered stillborn even though he lived and breathed for 2 full minutes. His mom has started a petition to change the law in her state, so please go check it out.

As I lit the candles for last night's Wave of Light, I asked for a sign. Immediately, the candles began to flicker and my puppy came over all curious. Then the phone rang. (I didn't answer it) I don't know if it was a sign or what. After that I went and laid down on the bed and my pup and I cuddled as we watched the lights flicker. It was nice. Sad, but nice.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Friday Funny:
(so that's how those LOLCats are made!)
About Me
- Ter
- I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Have a good weekend, and If I don't see you first, have a safe trip!
Can't wait to see the project! Why are you keeping us in suspense?! ;)
St. Louis, good for you. I hate traveling because I hate leaving my dogs. Seriously, I plan trips, and then I cancel them because I can't bare the thought of leaving my dogs. Yes I do realize how pathetic that sounds.....
Your teddy bear project sounds so very nice! I don't have any angel babies but I lit my candle in remembrance of so many of the babies my bloggy friends have lost.
I hope your trip is amazing!
Have a safe trip!! when do we get to see what you made?
We have taken our dog to the "sitters" a few times. Last time we left for only one night, so she stayed home alone. She is outside all the time, so it works.
Have a really great Sunday!
