This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

*cry* winter has arrived *cry*

It literally just began snowing. I was JUST outside, where it was NOT snowing. I walked inside and now there's big huge flakes of ugly WHITE stuff floating to the ground.

I'm not impressed.

We had all of 3 days worth of summer this year.

And virtually no autumn.

Right smack dab into Winter.

Where we'll probably remain til, oh, May or thereabouts.

Yuck! I am so sorry! That is such a bummer. Drink some hot chocolate with doughnuts on the side. That always makes me feel better! :)

My Dad's side of the family lives in your province, so every other winter we would spend 3 weeks out there for Christmas. I LOVED it because we were guaranteed a white Christmas! I moved out there for 2 years, and enjoyed the first winter...the second one? Not so much! Too long!! Here on the "wet" coast of BC I'm enjoying fall. You could always head out here for Fall! We have an extra room, and doggies are welcome! :)

...Now just don't hate me for bragging about our currant non winter. :S Oops! ♥

Funniest thing is...precisely 2 weeks ago my mother was in town and we all were outside in shorts...totally bizarre.

I hear there's been snow off and on...but I'm trapped indoors at work and refuse to believe it until I see it with my own eyes lol.

Oh no! I love the snow, but not until December!

We're in midwest USA and it's forecast for snow tomorrow. We didn't get as hot a summer as I had hoped either. And spring was pretty crappy too. Pretty depressing.

I know you haven't commented today on the anniversary of your husband and daughter's deaths, but I saw you on SITS and wanted to offer condolences and a shoulder...

Hugs to you and may you find peace in your heart on this day.

Hi Ter, thanks for stopping by. I can't believe I won, it was my first entry!!

So to help you look at the good things in life: the way I see the season changes are chances to take cool photographs, if it were summer all the time, it would get boring, all those blue skies and green grass - it can't be good all yr!! But most of all I look forward to getting my cold weather clothes out. Chunky sweaters, tights and skirts. I love it. Though I do agree that its crap to miss the best season of Fall. Its super short here in Milwaukee WI too.

Hi. Saw your roll-call on SITS today (Sunday, Oct. 10). Whining? Nay. You're entitled to grieve in any way you see fit. Sounds like you've been through a lot and I admire your honesty and sharing. Bless you! Wishing you love, peace and healing.

My mom lives in Montana and said they got snow too. That is exactly why I don't live that far North -- too much winter!
