This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Friday Fragments: Another Rambling Post

Welcome back to Friday Fragments!

**********

THANK YOUs:

I got this beautiful angel in the mail the other day.

I don't know who it's from.... but THANK YOU to who ever sent it!
(They sent it via Angels For Hope)

Also, Thank you to YaYa for this postcard!

And to my neighbor for this!

(aren't they adorable? read more about them here.)

Where did summer go?

It's been so cold the last couple days. I've had to wear sweaters and fuzzy socks. I refuse to turn the heat on in July. On the upside, the forecast is looking good.

**********

Not Looking Forward To Next Week.

My daughter's 4th angel day and birthday, followed by our 6th wedding anniversary. Usually, we have a BBQ & Balloon Release to 'celebrate' both occasions but no one showed up last year, and this year it won't even be just me and Bear, so I didn't plan one because I don't think I could handle the disappointment.

**********

Pain in the Neck, er, Head.

Yesterday, I suffered the first migraine in 4 years. That was no fun.

**********

Where's My Curves?

I'm thinking of quitting the gym. Not because I don't want to go, but because it's closed whenever I have the opportunity and motivation at the same time. This summer they have decided to close between 1 and 3 pm M-F and they close for the day by 1 pm on the weekend. Early afternoons would be the best time for me to go right now while I'm not working since I have trouble falling asleep at night and as a result do not wake up too early in the morning. I can't really afford to keep paying for it if I'm not going very often.

**********

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Start it off with a funny...

If I lived close I would come do the balloon letting go with you. I think you should still do it yourself, get a pink one for baby bear and a blue one (or his favorite color) for bear. Take emma with you. You can even just do it in the back yard! I will be thinking of you in the next couple of days and week. Much love

I got a Yaya postcard too!! I was like "What the heck is this?" I just can't believe she find the time to do this!!!

And I think a gym should be open a little more often than yours!!!

I'm thinking of you during this tough time. I think you should start a new tradition in honour of bear and baby bear...I really liked the suggestion of a previous commenter of sending ballons up from your yard...I just know both baby bear and bear would love that.

The weather has sucked so bad lately and I hate it...thankfully the weekend was nice and this week promises to be nicer than it has been...but we'll see.

it's not a new tradition. we've been sending up balloons every year on her birthday. just that no one else but my husband my dog and myself were there last year. now it's juts me and my dog.

and allison, I already told you about next weekend. I'm not PLANNING anything because planning = disappointment. IF PEOPLE REALLY WANT TO COME THEY WILL JUST COME INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR ME TO INVITE THEM.
