This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Could I Really Sell Them?

Every time I post a photo of one of my cards or other crafts, at least one person says I should try selling them on Etsy. I'm not sure yet that my cards (and other crafts) are good enough to actually sell yet. To give away as gifts, perhaps, but to sell? That's a whole other story. To see some examples of my crafts click here.

So, that said, I decided to post a couple polls!

And for those of you who have gotten something I made:

(edited to rephrase the question for the poll below - do you think the workmanship / quality is good enough to sell?)

You know Christina from Christina's Creative Expressions? I've bought cards from her before. And Felicia and Life of a College Stay At Home Mom. I love cards. I'm always buying cards.

I voted all-around yes! I would especially buy the cute thank you card you linked to with the butterflies.
You are very creative, Ter!

I meant it when I said you should put your altered notebooks on Etsy:)

I think you can definitely sell your crafts. Your success will be determined by the cost of the materials and labor versus how much you'll sell the card for, which will be determined by your goals. Do you want to make a lot of money or do you just want to make extra cash? Perhaps you can visit a few of the stores and ask the owners for advice?

If you do open a store, I'd definitely be inclined to buy the your little pink notebook with butterflies...how adorable!

Did you notice that out of the people who answered the poll, you got 100% positive responses? Though only 7 people have responded so far, it's definitely going towards the positive!

Whatever you do, your crafts are gorgeous!

Have a lovely day!
