This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Photography School Update

I couldn't wait to post this in my Friday Fragments!

I finally heard back from the photography school this afternoon.

After I last heard from them, I had replied that I needed to apply and be approved for student aid before I could apply for a disability loan. In order to apply for student loan, I needed an official letter saying that I have been accepted into a program.

I hadn't heard from them, so I began to worry since, I can't do anything without the official acceptance. I sent them another email last week, to make sure we are all on the same page.

Finally, today, I heard back from them, and they told that student aid won't accept applications until after June 1st, so they will be in contact with me before then with official (conditional) acceptance.

I feel so much better having heard back from them, and no longer feel although this opportunity has completely disappeared.

Of course, there is still a chance that student aid and disability grant may not approve my application, but I will worry about that later. At least, for now, I can start planning to go back to school in the fall.

This also means that I won't worry myself too much about looking for a job just yet. Since it is just me here now, I can't be away all day at school and then working all evening because of my dog and my house. I have decided I won't stress out about it just yet. I know I can't stay home forever, but I'll be ok for a while.

And speaking of photos, here's a photo of Emma I took this afternoon! Don't you just love her smile?!

Good news about photog school. Keeping my fingers crossed.

And I'm combining a couple comments for several posts in this comment because I'm heading out for a family reunion tomorrow and running out of time to pack (I always say I'll do it ahead of time and then procrastinate).

I think all the glasses looked pretty good ... cant' wait to see what you picked.

And I love the photos of Emma you took .. she is such a good looking dog.

And that chicken and the egg comic was too cute. I remember my brother made a joke when he was little (about 5). It went like this:

Why did the chicken cross the road?
To see Hank.

That still cracks me up because it is so dumb.

Hang in there and I'll see you when I get back.
