This week's theme is "My Friend & I". When I think of friends, the first person to pop in my head is my husband. After all, he's my best friend. I miss him.
This photo was taken (by me) just a few weeks before he passed away. It's kind of strange to say this but this is one of my favorite photos of us together. I think the reason for this is because at this point we already knew he was dying and we came to the realization just how much we love each other. It is also one of the last photos we have of us together. I'm so glad I have it.
Now, I know it's not the best photo photographically and it's not likely to win any photo contest, but that's okay. I just wanted to share it.

A photograph's worth often has very, VERY little to do with its technical aspects. And your's is gorgeous. I am so sorry for your losses but incredibly impressed by your desire to look for the good around you. I can only hope I would be so strong.

It is a very nice photo. Some of my favorites are not necessarily the professional type either.

I can see the love.. and I know that a bond like that doesn't just simply stop. You're apart..but only for a while. What a beautiful picture, even during such a hard time. Praying that those sweet memories will feed you until you're together again... thank you for sharing such a precious moment.

Beatitul photo of you and your husband! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Sometimes the story behind a photo makes the photo beautiful even if it isn't the perfect shot. Thanks for sharing this part of you!
I can see why you treasure this photo!
simply beautiful. thanks for stopping by my blog. i look forward to reading more of your journey.
Thank you for sharing this treasured photo of you and your husband! I'm so glad you have this photo as a special memory!
That is the most beautiful picture, after reading your words it means even more.
I am so glad you took this picture that day.
Beautiful photos have less to do with technical merit and more to do with the emotion they evoke. This indeed qualifies as a beautiful photograph.
Thank you, not only for sharing this but for knocking me one on the head and making me realise I have someone close I ought to be taking more photos of (but she'll probably weird out on me if I make it too obvious - she see "signs" in everything!)
This one should be the winner BY FAR!
I'm so glad you did share it. It broke my heart to read about the two great losses in your life. It is very inspiring how you are coping and moving on with your life and finding that balance with the new "normal".
What a beautiful photo of you and your husband. I am sitting here welled up with tears for your loss. Your outlook is absolutely nothing short of inspiring. Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us this week.
This photo is more valuable and precious than any photo taken by Ansel Adams or Annie Leibowitz because of what it means to you.
This photo is just absolutely priceless...I'm so happy that you have this wonderful memory saved in the form of a photo.
Blessings,

What a great photo. Thanks for sharing!
That really is a great photo. B looks so happy to have you there with him. I hope you will take all the other comments about the value of a good subject in a photo to heart...it really is true. (((HUGS)))
My photos aren't technically great either, but this photo transcends issues of lighting and composition because of its obvious love and emotion. I think its wonderful that you're sharing this portrait, and your story, with the blogosphere. I hope that somehow sharing your grief and the life you and your husband built together brings a measure of healing or peace to you. God Bless.
