This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

First Butterfly of the Season

(photo taken by me, June 2006)

I saw my first butterfly of the season today. Just as I stepped out of the house to head to H&R Block to get our taxes done. Just as I'm worrying about going there on my own for the first time, ever. I saw the butterfly fly over my head and land on the car. It made me feel like everything would be okay.

And everything was.

We saw two here yesterday afternoon.

I'm so glad things went smoothly. I feel so relieved for you now...

Tell me all about it when you have a chance today. And take your laptop outside, sit at your beautiful patio table, say f**k you to the water that WILL be going down after a day like today, enjoy some sun!!! (and watch Emma run and enjoy the outside!)

My sister, her friend and new boy are coming by to drink martinis on the deck before hockey. 6 PM. You should come too.

Lovely butterfly! Glad that she (it must be a girl to be that pretty, right?) brightened your day!

I have an award for you on my blog, if you want it. Don't feel like you have to pass it on- you can just gaze at it and know that you're appreciated!
