This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Card Making Challenge Week #5

Well, here is my card for week #5.

It is not my favorite card. Just very simple. I made the flower out of brads (since "brads" was the prompt for week #5). I was inspired by this card I saw on two peas. I used green ribbon for the steam and used glue gun to make the leaves. I decided it would make a good "hello" card so I used rub-ons for the word "hi".

Hope you are all having fun with your card making. I look forward to seeing what you've done this week!

Prompt for Week #6 - ribbon

(p.s. I could use some more ideas for prompts.... any ideas??)

It's so cute!

PS I wrote "my story" for ya since you asked...it's up on my blog if you're up for reading it. Totally understand if you're not in the right mental state to read it anytime soon.

I like it... simple but cute! I love the "hi" too :)

Ok... my prompt ideas:
use rubber stamps
torn paper
masculine
shapes (squares, circles, triangles, hearts, ovals, etc)
use shades of all one color
layers
re-use a premade card (an old bday card for example)

I'm so excited about this challenge :) I'm loving it!

So glad you started it.
