This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Product Review: Kraft Tex Mex

Normally, I wouldn't even have spent the money on this, but I had a gift card and I wanted something quick for supper. I decided that nachos would hit the spot. I debated about getting the Kraft Tex Mex Shredded Natural Cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar & Monterey Jack) because I already had 2 out of the 3 kinds of cheeses until I noticed it had Jalapeno Peppers in it. I thought perhaps that extra kick would make it worth the while to buy.

I was wrong.

I did not even taste any Jalapeno Peppers in it at all. There was no extra kick. The cheese tasted stale, considering the expiry date was three months away.

Disappointing.

I won't waste my money on this product again, even if it is a pain to shred cheese.

What a bummer! I would have expected at least a little spicy kick.

OH... now see... I like hot things... but jalepenos would have kept me away from that mix.

Sorry that it didn't live up to your expectations! You should call or write to Kraft. I'll bet you'll get coupons!

I once bought a 20 oz bottle of coke and it tasted like smoke (cuz the workers in the store I bought it smoked in the store). I called the 800 number on the bottle...they sent me TWO coupons for FREE 12 packs! I kid you not! They were silver... cool coupons :)

It's worth a shot! Companies want to keep your business...

I agree - definitely call Kraft & they will make it right! One time, my mom bought cans of (expensive) pie filling for her cheesecake & she was super-disappointed when she opened them up and found them to be about 75% syrup & 25% fruit. She emailed the company and they sent her coupons for free cans for future purchases. Definitely worth it!

What a bummer! I hate when you have high exspectations and then the product sucks.

Thanks for the heads-up...I don't often buy anything "exotic" when it comes to shredded cheese, usually just cheddar or a colby/jack mix, but now I know to avoid this one even if I want something spicier. Shredding a block of pepper jack cheese wouldn't be that hard even for me ;-)
