Elizabeth Marshall Thomas began observing dogs when she is asked to dog sit for friends going away on vacation. This books takes us through several years and several litters of dogs as she attempts to understand their thoughts and behaviorism.
I found this book to be a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, I cried. I agreed and I disagreed with the author's observations or methods behind them. On several occasions, I would look over at my own pup and nod my head, "yup, yup, it all makes sense now!"
Overall, I did enjoy reading this book, and I read most of it in one sitting. I think most dog lovers would like reading this book.
About Me
- Ter
- I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...
