This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

SHS - February - the original post, thanks to Amber! :)

What with my computer being incredibly slow, I haven't been updating as much as I would like. Perhaps this is also because I have not been doing so well with my habit forming.

This past week I did some inventory, with hopes it will help me with grocery lists and menu planning. I'm not so sure it made much of a difference at this point, but I am hoping it will soon. I am going to attempt to make a master shopping list, and see if this helps build a positive habit that will save time, finances and perhaps my sanity.

Some of this has changed since I've made a few meals and went shopping since I inventoried, but this is basically what we have (with exception of the deep freeze which I have not yet had a chance to go through)

Great idea to have a master list you can check off. Even keeping a copy in your purse to take to the store can help remind you of things you might need.

Sorry about your computer troubles. That's the worst!

The master list is great! And meal planning CAN be a great tool, when I use it it works great! I usually post my meals for the week on Monday so I can easily check back to see what I'm makin that night! Good luck being SMART this week!

Glad you were able to find your original post - I'm so glad for autosave. I've never done a master list but also haven't attempted meal planning. Sounds like a great place to start getting organized. One thing though - syrup in the fridge? Doesn't it get kinda hard and difficult to squeeze out? I keep mine in the pantry. Oh and my flour is in the freezer because my friend told me about weevils and I flipped. You can look them up on wikipedia if you want, but I warn you if you don't like bugs you won't like the pictures. Have a great week!
