About Me
- Ter
- I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Photo Hunt - Important
This weeks theme is "important".
The photo I have chosen is one I took of my husband wearing the Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Awareness ribbon that we handed out at the Walk to Remember in October. It is important that we remember our daughter and all babies gone too soon. It is important that we use our voices to speak for those who can not, and spread awareness. It is important that PAIL does not remain a taboo subject so that society can be better equipped to provide services and comfort for the grieving parents.

This is something new in my community but it is indeed a good awareness program to consider over here. Nice entry :)

Have a nice weekend!
What a perfect photo for this weeks theme! :)
yep! it's important to be aware of what's happening around you..
mine is here: wirelessbliss: when it rains, it pours...
You are very brave for all your work with PAIL. I know that your daughter would be proud of you.
Excellent choice. Mine is somewhat related, in that it's about recognition.
I applaud your choice to show what is important. It made me stop and think and makes your post even more important. Thanks.
I love the pic Teri ..
This is so important. We have lost three babies, and it's important for those losses to be acknowledged and remembered.
I am so very sorry for your loww.
I am with Larry and Applaud you on a great choice for this week! A subject that is often not brought up!
Thank you for doing so!
And sorry for you loss!
Perfect photo for this theme. ((HUGS))
Terri... I love the ribbons! So simple yet they say SOOOO much!!
I am so proud of you for all that you are doing to raise awareness.
I'm sure Tyla is proud too :)

Excellent take on the them!
Thanks for stopping my mine! Ya, I know I'm late but I made it! Ha!
I've only just found you. Oh, this is so important! Is PAIL international? I ask because my not-quite daughter-in-law had a still-born daughter last March (on her 21st birthday) She's (happily) expecting again in June, but finding all the inconsiderate questions (2nd pregnancy? Did you leave the wee one at home today?) very hard to bear. I was a nurse once, and I'd have been horrified if one of my colleagues did this, but THREE .... unpardonable!
Sorry, rant over. I just get so upset for her.
Amen on PAIL awareness! I could not agree more on your statement that it cannot 'remain a taboo subject' I have posted about this a few times myself.
