This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Menu Plan Monday

click above banner to see other MPM participants

I'm afraid I'm not very organized with my MPM this week.... but here's a tentative plan with hopes we can use up some leftover veggies from the holidays.

Saturday - Hummus (made with my brand new food processor!)
Sunday - leftover sausage & spaghetti squash
Monday - Brown Sugar Pork Stirfry
Tuesday - Hamburger Soup (from the freezer)
Wednesday - Spaghetti & a salad (if the lettuce is still good)
Thursday - Chicken (not sure how we'll make it), Roasted Veggies
Friday - up in the air at the moment

What great organization! I mostly wing it. Well, let me be more honest. ;) DH does most of the weeknight cooking since he gets home about 1.5hrs before me. But I do have a meal planned out for tonight (chicken kabobs) from the new cookbook I got. I even pureed several veggies over the weekend to speed up fixing some of the other recipes.

Ok, I need your hummus recipe since my fave store bought one is running me out of house and home.
But more than that, how do you make caesar dressing if you're on my case for buying it?!?!
Everything looks good on your menu...enjoy & happy new year!
