This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

The Christmas Box

If you're looking for a good Christmas book to read, might I suggest you pick up a copy of The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans.

The story is about a young family who learn what Christmas is really all about. I first heard of this story when the tv movie came out several years ago. Since I have had my daughter, this story has a new meaning to me.

Many bereaved parents will know that this book is also the inspiration for the Angel of Hope Statues that are erected throughout the world. I sincerely wish there was one near me so I could see it in person myself.

Whether you've had a loss or not, you will love this book. It is a beautiful story, and I plan to read it again this Christmas Season.

Well, I lost my daughter last year. Gulp. I'll muster up the courage to read the book.

I read this book for the first time last Christmas. It is the book I am currently reading now. The "Christmas Box Miracle" is also a great book. It is about Mr. Evan's experiences with the Christmas Box.

It is a really good book, if sad. You need to come down here so we can visit the West Palm Beach Angel of Hope statue together!!
