This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Almost finished! (30 day Organizational Challenge Update)

Just one more day left of the 30 Day Organizational Challenge!

I spent some time in the basement tonight, and basically all I have left to do is clean up some empty boxes and a few little stray items lying around. For the most part, I think I've done all I can do at this point.

I am hopefully taking a box of books to the Children's Hospital Book Sale drop off this weekend. In addition, I have some electronics that I am taking to be recycled, as soon as I find out where the nearest location is. I will phone about that tomorrow, so hopefully those will be gone this weekend too. There are 2 huge boxes full of stuff for charity, as well as 3 bags of clothing, an exercise bike and a medicine cabinet, if they will take it.

I will wait until Spring to call someone to take the previous owner's freezer and the doors from the shelving as well as some other items, including almost everything in my shed. While it will clutter up one section of my basement for a few more months, the rest of it is looking better.

It will be a long time before we can do anything with our basement other than storage but at least now it has more potential. Hopefully, we will keep it this way, which I think we will as we are neatness nuts at heart. It really was a matter of getting rid of stuff and having a better container and shelving system.

I will post photos tomorrow after I clean up the last bit.

I would like to thank Laura at I'm an Organizing Junkie for hosting this challenge, because, even if I don't win, I am a winner, for I now have an organized basement! Thank You! :)
