This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day (October 15th)

You may remember this blog. .

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Here in Canada it is not yet official but I am hoping that in the near future it will be.

Why is this day so important to me? It is important to me because 2 years ago I lost my daughter at 26 weeks gestation due to severe pre-eclampsia. She was (and is) my only child. She is the reason I titled my blog "with an angel on my shoulder".

I found this video on YouTube last year. It is a heartwarming video of a young boy reading "We Were Gonna Have a Baby, but We Had An Angel Instead" (author: Pat Schwiebert) in honor of his baby brother. I thought I would post it here for you to see.

Jen, I thought about it a while ago but never did get around to posting anything about it. I could. You think I should?

Ter, on the YouTube page with the video on it, there should be an "embed" link...if you use that code it might work. Not sure...you'd have to check the Blogger help I guess.

Oh Ter, I'm so sorry. My sister just lost a baby (Emma Grace) at 24 weeks gestation in May. It was absolutely heartbreaking.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've suffered a miscarriage before, but nothing like what you've endured. I really enjoyed the video, too.
