This Blog Has Moved!

I moved my blog on New Years Day, 2010. If you haven't come to see my new blog, head on over HERE now. This blog will be available for archive reading but I won't be posting here anymore. I hope you'll join me at my new bloggy home!

p.s. I am slowly but surely moving all the blogs I follow over to the new blog, so if I haven't come to visit you for a while, my advice is to leave a comment on my new blog, so I don't miss you in the shuffle!

About Me

My photo
I am a bereaved mother and wife. I began this blog to help me look for the "good things" in life after my daughter, "Babybear", died in July 2005. Three years later, her daddy, my husband, "Bear", died in November 2008. (You'll find a link to their stories on my blog) And now, as difficult as it is, I continue to look for the good things in my life as I learn my new normal with my pup, "Furrybear", at my side. And the angels on my shoulder...

Menu Plan Monday - January 19-25

(click above icon to see other MPM participants)
Saturday
Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup (as featured on Scribbit: Motherhood in Alaska!)
* This was so good! We definitely plan to make it again! Thanks, Scribbit! *
Sunday
Beef Stew (as featured on Little Steps in Motherhood!)
* I've been looking for a good stew recipe that doesn't use the package stew mix, and this one fit the bill! It was so good! The only thing we did differently was adding a few mushrooms and celery and we substituted potatoes for the parsnips as well, and we omitted the red wine. Thanks, Little Mommy!*
Monday
Leftover stew
Tuesday
Orange Pork Chops & Orange Salad
Wednesday
Creamy Spinach Pasta (as featured here) or something else to use up the spinach
Thursday
Chicken Stirfry (not sure how I'll make it yet)
Friday
No clue as of yet!

Sounds goood... I've always wanted to try making stew. But Mike won't eat it, so I can just eat canned (which I KNOW isn't as good as homemade).

I have our menu up too... but I don't normally post ours -- at least not on my blog (it's posted on the cupboard :) )

I'm glad you liked that soup, I have been wanting to try it too after I saw it on Scribbit! Have a great week and good look on Friday, when I don't have anything planned my family always gets a little nervous about what I will create... sometimes you win, sometimes you lose :)
